- Tax on pension, 5%. Personal income tax, 20%-45%. 

- All goods have 16% VAT included in the price.

- You have to pay 40% tax on imported cars, but are allowed to bring your own car over for three months before it needs to be registered and taxes paid. Most people choose to buy a new car instead. Cars will cost you 40% more than in the UK.

- Petrol costs about £1 per liter.
Diesel costs about 80p pr liter

- Counsel Tax is between £40-80 a year.

- Electricity for a house with three bedrooms and pool will cost between £40-50 a month. This is pretty expensive because of air-condition.

- Water costs £5-10 a month.

- Car insurance costs from £400-500 a year.

- Car Tax is about £80 for the first year, then £40 after that.

- Food for a couple is about £300 a month, more if you shop in the more expensive shops like Lemar and Tempo.

- A meal at a restaurant for a family of four will cost you about £30, more if you eat in the tourist hotspots.
