Cyprus – new hope of reunion
After the February elections in South Cyprus, the door now stands open for new talks between the two parties in this divided country. Since 1974, the third biggest island in the Mediterranean has been split into a Greek Cypriot and a Turkish Cypriot side. Finally, though, there are hopes that a solution may be in sight. We have chosen to concentrate on North Cyprus because this part of the island is least known, and because it looks set to become one of the most interesting property markets in the Mediterranean in the years to come. Our aim is not to take sides in this dispute, but to give international property buyers and investors the best possible information about the property market and the situation.
